I don't blame the guy for protecting a life changing amount of money and securing the future for his family. I can't say I would do anything different.

Thanks for all the great runs and all you did for LSU!

regardless of the money involved, there is just no point in him playing another snap with an injury that has never healed up since camp. his time at LSU is done, so lets all move forward and be thankful that he stayed home to be a tiger.

I dont think anyone has a problem with him not playing. Anyone who thinks he should actually play with that ankle is retarded. I think the only problem. Is quitting the team early for no reason. He could have stuck around, cheered his team on, mentored some of the younget guys for a few weeks, been there for his teamates. He cant workout much as his ankle needs to heal. I guess Roc gave him some walking around money.

He wants to perform at his highest potential in the combine & get the money he is owed.

If he re-injures himself he will jeopardize his opportunity to maximize his earning potential.

It's a business decision. Remember his quote when Miles was fired? "At the end of the day we understand it's a business"

He understands that he needs to look out for him & his family because none of the bitch arse "tiger fans" that are criticizing his decision are going to be there for him if he were to have a career ending injury.

Good luck LF. See you in Sundays!

Roc Nation is run by CAA. It's just a marketing stunt.

I agree and understand him not playing. He us not healthy and has everything to lose. However the ROC deal could have waited until after the game so he could have attended with his brothers.

Having said that, I do not know his family situation. It has been great watching him and I will always remember him in purple and gold.

Can we stop with the "stick around and cheer on his team" business? Y'all act like him being on the sideline at the bowl game will push us over the top. Every player there at LSU that will be on the field understands his decision and probably supports it 100%. They don't need Fournette shaking pom poms on the sideline, they'll be fine.

This is the millenials' mentatilty - I'm owed shite I didn't work for. He hasn't even sniffed the NFL yet, but he's owed it?

I gots ta git mine.

I weep for the future.

Yes no one needs him, you are correct with that. Im not even going to explain why he should have stuck around, you obviously never have been part of a team and wouldn't understand. By your logic he shoudnt have been at any of the games he was out with his injury, i mean why would he be right.

This isn't a 1A High School football team. This team is full of potential NFL starters who all understand that it's all a business. He put in his work, time, and effort. He was a total team player. LSU got as much out of him as he got out of LSU. If I recall correctly, he wasn't at the A&M game and we did just fine. Him being at the game wont make any difference in the game. But go ahead and keep thinking its a fairy tale movie where he's the missing link, the life blood, the "we're all done" if he isn't here. It's doubtful any of the players feel that way.

I don't either. My take is that unless those complaining are willing to put up money to get him to $10MM if he gets injured, they should shut their mouth.

You comparing this situation to someone who sits on their arse and wants something handed to them is ridiculous.
