Doing this in the middle of the season is tantamount to giving up on a season in which we are still in contention for the West. The players love Les - they weren't going to quit as long as he was here, but now they just might.

If they loved Les that much, they would not have lost 20-25 seconds on the final drive just lollygagging around on the field.

Quite the contrary, keeping Miles would have assured a last place finish in the West. At least now, we have a punchers chance.

They do love Les, but there was a want to quit yesterday.

You seriously think continuing to hemorrhage with Miles was good for recruiting, or to eliminate him closer to signing date would be better?

No it isn't, this could save some of our season. We had ZERO chance of anything but disappointment with Miles and Cam running the offense as seen through the first few games.

No!

Continuing as we were is tantamount to giving up on a season.

Players/employees respond favorably to accountability. Position coaches have closer relationships with players than the HC in most cases. I can assure you a number of player's parents are happy and will speak with their young men as well

You think we have a "punchers chance" after cutting loose our HC an OC 4 games in?

They just completely buried this season before October. We would have had a punchers chance with the staff intact, but now I'm in the "lucky to make a bowl" crowd.

They had quit just as much as he had. Harris wasn't even sitting with the team yesterday--was standing with the media giggling during the last drive.

Right. We're 2-2 and haven't even played the 3-4 best teams on the schedule yet.

You think having a head coach recruiting that everyone wants fired is better for recruiting?

This team still controls it's destiny in the SEC. By cutting bait with Miles now, maybe they can get this ship going in the right direction. Hanging onto him and we know where they were gonna end up
