But is anyone else THRILLED about this hire? I haven't been more excited for LSU athletics since we beat UGA in the SECCG in 2011

at 34 it's about as great. if he's the real deal in the next 3 years we can pay him to be here for a very long time.

this hire has longevity all over it

Young, hungry coach with a lot to prove. Seems like a recipe for success, but he'll have to recruit pretty well to bring better talent in than what we have.

the fact he chose us over his alma mater is pretty good for our long-term prospects at keeping him.

It's not a bad hire for sure. The questions are: Can Wade recruit well enough to be a top 3 SEC team? Will he stay at LSU if he can?

The great thing about basketball, a couple of dynamic players turns losers into winners. Can be done in a year

I like this guy a lot...

and I know nothing about him

but he's impressive...

seem like he has that "it" factor you can't teach

Look at LSU, but B-Ball is about to become a thing again.

book mark this! I know a winner when I see one...

Ok so I'm only 33 years old, but this is the most excited I've ever been about a basketball coach at LSU! This guy seems to have a swagger about himself that the players are going to feed off of. I'm very excited about the future of the program!

You underestimate the lack of inspiration that was CJJ.

Giveashitness will go a very long way with this team, especially defensively.

By far the hire I am most excited about in my lifetime

I am 30

We have hired

Archer
Hallman
Dinardo
Saban
Miles
Brady
Johnson
Jones
Smoke
Maineri

This is by far the most excitable hire to me. Maineri is prolly second because I knew he had a great resume. But I wasn't as "excited"because baseball had always been good for me for the most part

Wade is a very good recruiter AND coach. Plus it sounds like he's closing in on some top notch recruiters to join him. I think we just hit the jackpot with this hire

I'm drinking the kool-aid while wearing purple and gold glasses.

I'm sold

I was already on board but that presser got me jacked.

I know we won't be good next year, but still excited about next season. Today's presentation was a solid start in re energizing an apathetic fan base. Looking forward to what else he's got in store as far as that goes.

Absolutely. I'm dying to have a great basketball team. When LSU basketball is good. It might be my favorite sport.

I'm thrilled as well. I just want a consistent winner in basketball. It's great to go to a Sweet 16, but not if you don't make the tournament the 3 or 4 years prior and the 3 or 4 years after. I feel like this is the type of coach and program builder that can achieve that and makes us expect to be there every year. If that's drinking the kool aid then I will drink it until my foot gets cold and they start taking toes off.
