Matt Canada says this is his best offensive installation

in his five stops in past 11 years. - Speaking at What's Good Spring Luncheon. Could have said the same thing at his last 4 stops. If being honest, it is very good news. I would have thought LSU's offense would have been harder to convert than the other places.

Best Offensive Installation with the talent that LSU has. My body is ready.

Well this is undoubtedly the most talent he's ever had. Really not many holes, talent wise, where we just have to avoid a position with the game plan.

Like with any new system, it takes a minute to get your sea legs. Hope we do that early and unscathed.

Well he has done it 4 other times, he is probably getting pretty damn good at installing offenses by now. Damn its way to early for me to start getting excited.

stock answer, although I do think he's the giant Tiger fans have been waiting for on offense

This is like the lowest bar to cross though right? I mean not running at a nine man front over and over is something a mediocre high school should be able to pull off.

So he's going to take a ton of horsepower and release the emergency brake that has been set for the better part of 10 years. I'll take it. Glad we will get to see what this machine can really accomplish.

I'm telling you, that offense looked clean. Not perfect. Usually defense dominates early scrimmages. 1 vs 1s looked good

I just can't wait to see when a CBS camera pans to Saban throwing a shite fit on the sideline not knowing how to stop Canada's genius

Coach O went on to say that they've yet to run an I-Formation in practice, and that he "figured you all would be happy about that." No more fullback, we have an H-back.

Since we don't really have any choice but to take him at his word, here's how his first-year offenses have performed in the past 11 years:
Indiana 2007*: 7-6 overall, 3-5 Big Ten, avg. 31.7 ppg (highlight: 38-20 win at Iowa)
Northern Illinois 2011: 11-3 overall, 7-1 MAC, avg. 38.3 ppg (highlight: 63-60 win at Toledo)
Wisconsin 2012: 8-6 overall, 4-4 Big Ten, avg. 29.6 ppg (highlight: 70-31 win over Nebraska in B1GCG)
N.C. State 2013: 3-9 overall, 0-8 ACC, avg. 22.8 ppg (silver lining: by 2015, they were 7-6 overall, 3-5 ACC, avg. 33.2 ppg)
Pittsburgh 2016: 8-5 overall, 5-3 ACC, avg. 40.9 ppg (highlights: 43-42 win at Clemson, 76-61 win over Syracuse)
*2007 wasn't his first year at Indiana, but it was his first year as OC. He was QB coach and passing game coordinator in 2005 and 2006.

I want this to be the case but its only March so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Is there any wonder that this wasn't his best installation? The man has never had so much talent at his disposal, AND he'll have the luxury of a top shelf defense too.

Love the energy Ed has around the program right now. He's even recruiting different than in the past.
