Mascona just said that Beckwith and Melvin Jones worked with WRs & TEs...

a little bit today catching passes. Our D is fissing to be staaaaaaaaaaaaacked. My guess is Chavis has them do that to get them used to balls being thrown at them in coverage.

Dude, they're both LBs. Chavis puts them on TEs and Slot WRs all the freaking time.

Not exactly, DeSean Smith looks to be the real deal already.

Brazil (yeah I know, Germans) and Rickey Jeff worked on offense as well. Les trying to confuse opponents!

Desean is the real deal, he'll leave LSU as one of the best TE's ever at LSU.

No. It says something about Jones and Beckwith.

We have good TEs.

I think this is more about Beckwith and Jones having real potential as offensive players, and Miles and the staff doing a good job of player evaluation. He mentioned yesterday that they would do this.

I'm glad that he's already separating himself from the other TE's from day one. We need a pass option that can take some pressure off of the wideouts.

I don't really see Beckwith or Jones cracking into the pass catching TE ranks. But, they definitely could be a threat out of the backfield.

LoL...or they are potential options at FB moving forward after this year.

Agreed, but I don't think they are doing that because Chavis wants them to do it. I think there is more to it

Has there been any video of them actually working with the position groups, or is it just of them going through the hands drill? I know there were some shots of Brazil with the RBs, but I haven't seen the others.

I could see Jones at FB. Beckwith on offense strikes me as more of a Colt Lyerla (from Oregon) type. TE/F-Back/Slot/RB
