ESPN reporting he's possibly going to be out at NC State.

You really want another coach that can't consistently win with the talent?

I think it's more interesting in that article that Archie Miller is likely candidate to replace MG at NCst

Do we really have to wait for a coach to get fired before we hire him?

Bottom tier defensive coach. If youre sick of the lack of defense with JJ, it wouldnt get any better with MG

I want neither but if Stansbury's got backers why not Gottfried? Gottfried's actually done something of note since 2009.

Because we just lost to Wake by 30 after having a top 15 recruiting class including a top 5 lottery pick at PG? Because we are going to miss the tournament for a second straight year? Trust me: AVOID. He does slightly more than JJ with a LOT more talent.

No, unless you want more of the same. He is not much better than JJ.

Not saying he's a good coach, but ANYONE who expects to go to that school and win in that conference is a moron.

Semi marginal success there could mean very successful at a school like LSU. Just think of who he has to recruit against in his own conference at NC st.

Again I want neither. I'm putting Gottfried and Stansbury in a vacuum and I see no reason either should have supporters but one does.

He has a losing record in conference. He cant do better than programs like FSU and Miami. No one is expecting him to be a Duke or UNC or Cuse or Louiville.

Speaking of FSU, I've been surprised at how Leonard Hamilton has been able to survive a 2nd NCAAT drought. I was also certain that he was toast back in 2008.

Hamilton has such an odd resume. He coached at 3 pretty big schools(though Miami basketball was nothing when took over)and in the NBA for the last 30 years and he hasn't accomplished much the entire time. He's CBB's Marvin Lewis except worse.
