Hopefully not Germans as didn't show up on search.
" if he can't make accurate short throws, he'll be a very limited pro quarterback".

LINK

Everyone raves about his arm strenght, so maybe Krag can fix this. May also mean he sticks around given the reviews of some of other QB's relative to draft position.

I'm ready to see what the kid can do for LSU. There's time yet to worry about what kind of pro he'll be.

Well, the piece they cite did come from NFL.com so it is somewhat reputable. But yeah, Bleacher Report...SMH.

ETA: Here is the NFL.com article for those that don't want BR on their browser history.

non-BR

And Daniel Jerimiah, the author, has some cred and he was referenced on ESPN today for his college QB observations

Sounds OK, he doesn't need to be great in the short game, he has a running game at LSU. We need him to be accurate on the deep ball, which they say he is money at......Short game is about rhythm, and getting used to your guys, which will develop.

SoS and I got scathed on here for saying we were a little concerned about his ability to accurately complete the short, critical passes.

If is is only 1/2 as accurate as #9 was last year, we're undefeated. I've Never seen a D1 QB miss so badly on passes <7yds.

remember JJ was awesome at this camp? tall, big arm, and all, everyone was talking bout JJ / so, don’t put much into much good or bad / it’s the intangibles, stupid / that’s why qb like brees go under that radar and why 2-stars like the Honey Badger excel, the intangibles / listen to this same guy mouthing about JJ before the draft, it seems what he did on the field mattered little, just get that 6-5 guy with the big arm. Is he a gamer or not? that’s all that matters, so goes the fallacy

Are we talking slants or outs or digs? To be honest I haven't rewatched the Spring game but I haven't seen too much to be concerned about. The short game has a lot to do with timing, which can improve as time progresses. I just want him to be able to throw a decent screen pass and I will be pleased if he is a good as advertised on the deep ball.

i’m so starving for some deep passing, frick a screen pass, 20, 30, and 40 yard pops to Landry and OBJ will do me fine

BRILLIANT!
Doesn't this apply to every single QB playing the game today???

First you'd have to see Mett more to make a fair evaluation !
He saw Barkley play live many times I think he's biased IMHO. In both the spring game and the one half game he played Mett had an extremely accurate mid range
In fact at every range. By the way all the great USC QBs flopped in the NFL Flynn did better
