Don't jump on me, I am not throwing in the towel or discounting this season at all or what we may yet accomplish.

But with Mett's showing against Bama, The freshman in the secondary getting trial by fire and a couple of key area's addressed by new recruits coming in, next years team will be very strong.

Imagine Hill next year running behind a healthy and more experienced O-line, Man he will be a beast !

I am proud of our current Tiger players and I look forward to the new ones coming in. We will be a force for years to come.

Lets not get ahead of ourselves here......I was as happy as anyone with Metts performance on Saturday, but lets see him do it a couple more times to close out the year. If he can show that he can consistently put on performances like he did on Saturday we have a ton to look forward to next year. If he shows the ability and we can open up the offense throwing the ball, this offense has the potential to be lethal next year.

I thought this season was suppose to be a damn strong team and they are worse than last years team.

I do agree somewhat.
Next year is Mett's year to shine. He will be a senior hoping to get drafted, plus he will have Rivers and Randall breathing down his neck; not to mention Bolden, Rettig, and Jennings. Now if we had Oregon's OC.......

The key to the offense will be the O-line. We will definitely have some of the best skill players in the nation, esp. at RB.

All of our special teams personnel return as well

On defense, it's simple - restock the D-line and we will be very good again.
There are only 2 games that genuinely concern me -at Georgia, and at the mulligumpneckteabagtards.

They're not?

I'm certain not many expected LSU to be as good as/better than last year when this season actually started.

Do you not realize how many injuries and defections we had, and we are still probably one of the top 3 teams in the nation? Sorry, but even this team had a hard time overcoming the loss of 2 All-Americans who were being counted on. Fortunately with all of the injuries it has given some young guys the chance to get some experience and we will be better for it next year.

If Faulk returns then we will have our OLine with..
LT: Faulk
LG: Collins
C: Porter
RG: Turner
RT: Alexander

Most of our RB stable should return. Ford and Ware could push pro.

Most of our WR's should return. At least OBJ and Landry will be.

Mettenberger should be back..

Defense is the main question.

Montgomery, Mingo, Logan, Simon, Minter, and Reid are all Juniors that could go pro.

Mills and Collins add experience. As well as Freak and our Freshman LBs.

This is true about LSU. I also did hear Bama has the 3rd fewest number of seniors of any team in the country. Don't know if that's accurate but I guess the point is both teams are young and will be loaded next year.

I highly doubt any LSU fan is concerned with key personnel losses in the offense next year.

Defense has a few people who can go pro, but defense still shouldn't take a ridiculous fall.

no need to worry, Bama's defense will be much better next year.
they supposedly lost a whole lot last year, didn't make a difference....

Defensive line will be completely rebuilt. Sam, Mingo, Logan are all going pro. Freak, Ego, Rasco, and another DE will have to step up.

Not so fast on Bennie. He's not having a year like Brockers had last year. He may come back. Plus Rasco, Maclin, Allen and Hunter are all going to be pretty good DEs. And you have a guy like Herron coming in that could play from day 1. DL isn't something to get bent out of shape over just yet.
