I'm honestly shocked we are still even being discussed at this point. I think if we won out the regular season, it would put us in the bubble discussion but still not enough without a deep run in the SEC Tournament.

Still a possibility, but very remote. We'd need to win out in the regular season and reach the SEC tournament final to have a chance at an at-large. Auto bid or bust for anything worse than that.

This team has quit. Will be very surprised to see them show anything today or the rest of the way. Hopefully Jones is done regardless. I'd like to be able to pull for the team to win but I'm afraid they need to lose out in a big way to have hope for jones' dismissal.

If we win our next 3, we will be squarely on the bubble.

We will have beaten 5 of the 6 SEC tournament hopefuls including the SEC's best team twice along with a top 4 SEC finish. Win 2 games in the tournament to make the finals and we are in.

While we are favored to win the next 2 games, the problem is @Kentucky would be a huge upset. We'll be a 9-10 point underdog next weekend. Essentially, 10% chance we make the dance.

I've given up hope unless the administration decides they want to pay for a real coach

If this happens we're the SEC regular season champions. We could go 1 and done in the SEC tournament and still get in at that point.

The committee isn't keeping a power 5 regular season champion out of the tournament.

The team has quit so it's very unlikely we would win out. However, in the attempts to have a decent conversation (which is very rare around here), if LSU wins out, it'll give us a 5-5 record of top 50 teams (maybe 4-4 depending how Bama finishes), and a top 15 road win. Win 1 or 2 in the sec and you're safely in as a 10/11 seed. People just don't understand how bad the bubble teams are this year.

The NCAA is going to reach on us if we can two of the next three and a game in the sec tourney. It has play in game written all over it. What better way to get ratings than have the number one prospect on its own night before the real games get going.

Sorry, but getting blown out in two straight games by sec bottom feeder teams is more than enough evidence for the committee that lsu is done

1 win in the SEC Tournament would absolutely not have us safely in. Even if that second game was a loss to Kentucky, you're looking at an RPI in the mid-70s. To say that has us in safely is just incorrect.

If we win out and lose in the SEC Tournament final (2 wins in Nashville), our RPI would be around 67. Two of those wins in Nashville would very likely be against top-50 RPI teams. Altogether, that would add three top-50 RPI wins away from home to our résumé. We'd have about 6 top-50 wins, depending on how Florida and Alabama and teams like that finish.

It would be close at that point. We'd probably be in Dayton.

The bubble is poor, but we could very well be fighting directly against teams from our own conference like Alabama and Vanderbilt for a bid.

All of this is pretty irrelevant, though, because LSU's chances of winning in Rupp are literally fricking zero.

It doesn't matter. This isn't football. If lsu wins out and wins the sec regular season that would be 19 wins and should at least get them in. But I doubt that happens. He'll Florida is more motivated than lsu is right now. It would not surprise me if they lose the last three.

LSU does not control their own destiny to win the regular season title.

Agree to disagree. We can have differing opinions. I think if LSU wins out, wins a game or two they would be in. Our RPI is 91, our BPI is 66. Our BPI could get roughly into the 40's or low 50's. The committee doesn't look at just RPI.

But yes, this is almost a definite. And tonight is a bad matchup because you know how shitty we play against this style of team.
