I know what they are trying to say here. The team is in the "championship." But does this sound a little too presumptuous to you?

FWIW, I was listening to 1300 in Austin this morning and I heard a caller asking when the University was going to light up the tower. (They light all of the lights in the center and it looks like a big number 1).

Not presumptuous. Speculative. You can't ask euphoric fans to wait 6 to 8 weeks to separate them from their money. You've got to strike while the iron is hot, which means having merchandise on hand just in case. Texas-themed merchants are doing it too. So does everybody else. It has nothing to do with presumption of victory. It's about making money, nothing more, nothing less.
