Watching the Ole Miss/aTm game, I thought the Rebels had the right defensive gameplan by rushing 3 and keeping contain while have a quick DB spy on JFF. He was forced to scramble north and south but the DB was getting juked out of his shorts repeatedly.

Who would you guys put in that spy role against aTm?

Eugene, K. Alexander, Barrow?

If it's Barrow, we have no shot IMO.

would have to be either Kwon, T.White, or Rashard Robinson for the plan to have a prayer.

Kwon Alexander, pretty sure he is the fastest, sideline to sideline, that's what you need to contain JFF IMO

Chavis had a better game plan last year.

People talking Alexander...I love Alexander, but I watched him slide off and miss three tackles against Florida.

Chavis also had a better tackling team with faster DEs.

Chavis had better players last year.

Welter and Barrow are liabilities against JFF. Whatever the plan A is, if it doesn't involve Kwon as a spy, hopefully plan B will in case plan A fails.

The game plan was the same. The spy missed the tackle numerous times. I think it was #24 for Ole Miss. JFF made him look silly numerous times. If that guy makes those tackles, Rebels win I believe.

The best game plan is to shorten the game by pounding the rock for long drives and limit the possessions that the Aggies have.

Kwon is our surest tackler.

But to spy on Manziel I would put Eugene. He did that last year in the 2nd half and really did a good job at it. Did everyone forget that??

And when you spy on a guy, you dont necessarily have to be the guy that makes the tackle. Your job is to basically contain that player and mirror him. Make him go a certain way, towards your DL/LBers, funnel him to the sidelines, etc. You do that with a guy like Manziel and he will turn and run around more and drop deeper and deeper in the backfield, giving the opportunity for a big lose, but also makes it more difficult on our DBs to guard a WR for that long and on a busted play.

Exactly.

JFF can't hurt you if he is sitting on the sidelines.

A&M DL and LBs are weak, runny sauce. Pound 'em over and over with Hill, Hilliard, Blue, Copeland, Magee.
