LSU's record over the past 5 seasons, and why it was time for Miles to go...

2012: 10-3
2013: 10-3
2014: 8-5
2015: 9-3
2016: 2-2
Total: 39-16 (.709)
Now, on the surface, that doesn't look too bad (although it's still a little low for LSU football) until you realize:
12 of those wins were against absolute cupcakes like:
North Texas
Idaho
Towson
UAB
Kent State
Furman
Sam Houston State
UL Monroe
New Mexico State
Eastern Michigan
Western Kentucky
Jacksonville State
If you take away those cupcakes, Miles' record was:
27-16 (.628)
And if you look at his record vs. ranked teams over that span, his record against ranked teams was:
11-9.
So 27-16 against FBS teams and 11-9 against ranked teams. That is not high quality football that you should expect from a school that gets as much talent as LSU.

You must be one of those guys who considers coming in 3rd out of 4 people on Mario Kart an accomplishment?
ETA: asshead.

This means nothing without comparing to records of other coaches in lsu history

this decline and all of our athletics decline coincides with the absolute shite karma alleva brings to the athletics of LSU. no one respects him so you are never going to have greatness. its just too distracting to wonder all the time of your AD has any backbone at all, among other things. and you can't really ignore it, although les tried.

Are we trying to fire him again? It's done. Let's look to the future instead of making points on a dead topic. I know Coach O is! :-)
