Auburn does not need to win out otherwise - we beat them.

LSU wins in ALL 2 loss tie-breaker scenarios that include LSU - because our two losses are to teams that cannot be in that 2 loss tie-breaker - thus to be in it we would have to have beaten all the teams in the 2-loss tie-breaker, winning it on head-to-head.

That's the ONLY thing we have going.

What he was basically saying is that Auburn has to lose one more to get to 2 losses and then beat Bama. We beat Bama (and everyone else on the schedule) and that puts LSU, Auburn and Bama in tie with 2 losses each, sending LSU to Atlanta with the tie breaker.

Of course, Auburn can lose all of the rest of their games except Bama, and if LSU wins out, LSU goes to Atlanta. I think he assumed that was less likely than Auburn losing just one more.

I wouldn't be sad to see them lose out. OP was posting the path of least resistance. Auburn is more likely to beat Bama than UT. But, they still have to play, so go vols.
