Honestly didn't realize Scivicque's average had dropped that low after these past few weeks.

Also...

Laird & Stevenson = improving

Bregman, Ibarra, & McMullen = disappointing

Fraley & Hale = promising

It's hard to go from having 6 out of the top 25 hitters in the conference (admittedly, in a very rough sense just using conference BA as a proxy) to having none.

That's what half a season under javi will do for you.

And yet LSU is still in the hunt for a divisional and perhaps even the SEC Conference championship.

How does Mainieri do it??

Wait, Javi didn't have anything to do with the success the hitters had last season....only the failures they are having this year? Makes sense I guess.

He hasn't produce since the middle of the year.

So our SEC offense is damn near exactly the same as last year. Interesting

Well why does this offense feel like it's better than last years offense?

Yeah, I think everyone missed this

We are just about the exact same as last season on offense.

The overall conference averages for all teams have barely moved, but LSU is behind where it finished last year defensively, and way behind where it finished last year offensively.

quote:

LSU #11 in SEC at .246, and #8 at 4.33 runs/game.

LSU #2 in SEC at .300, and #2 at 6.03 runs/game.

The conference averages are the same, LSU's averages are just above that in each set.

No, that is the average for all SEC teams which has stayed about the same.

Last year we were:
quote:

LSU #2 in SEC at .300, and #2 at 6.03 runs/game

This year:
quote:

LSU #11 in SEC at .246, and #8 at 4.33 runs/game

At least that's how I'm reading it.
