Don't forget the O line, QB play, and special teams.

This, and by a large margin. Aranda + O, is going to be fun to watch

OL/QB is key
OL, DL and QB are the keys to every team. Of course, every position is important, but these three are the most important.
At LSU this year, there is little doubt that the oline will be good. It was good last year, and they return three starters and a fourth guy who played a lot. Plus, they've recruited oline very well, and are deep in prospects.
The dline has all returned, and it was good last year. However, it was a little weak up the middle as games wore on and Godchaux and Lacouture wore out. The emergence of Herron and Gilmore, and the addition of Lawrence could turn this line into an elite one. If Valentine returns, and is as solid as advertised, we could have the best dline in football.
QB depends on the continued improvement of Harris. In terms of uncertainty, I'd list these three in the order above, with QB being the least certain.

What wins championships? DEFENSE!!! We need Harris to have a good year, but if we can't stop any one it want matter.

Developing a short to intermediate passing game is the key. We can win 9 games with our rushing offense alone, but come November we need a POLISHED passing game.

We need ALL phases of the game to win a championship. I seriously doubt we can count on beating Bama, Ole Miss, Florida, Arky, SECCG, and two playoff games 10-9 or so. We'll need to score.
