With time. The amount of just insane athletic ability on that side of the ball will be harnessed by Chavis and it will be fun to watch. One thing we all have to keep in mind is last years D was about as good as it gets for college D. But, give this young deffense time to mature even just a little and they can be almost as good. At least good enough to where we don't all have to hold our breathes when they're on the field anymore. This D will at some point have an insane secondary that will make it tough for teams to pass which will lead to more pressure on QBS because of lack of options. Just give it time fellas, Cheif'll get em right.
I think the second half of last week is going to go a long way in the confidence of this young D and they will perform well enough to win today. LSU 34 Florida 24

I have" the want " to believe but it is hard to see it especially at the LBer position. They are very yong after barrow and welter though.

You could make an argument that every D since Chavis got to LSU was one of the best in CF. This is the first year we've had reason for concern on that side of the ball since he got here. This defense will end up being the same way. LBs are young but have so much talent, same for the secondary. Th DLine is the only area I think will lag but when you loose your 4 starters and 2 back ups from the previous year it takes time to rebuild there moreso than other positions.

We should give up no more than 17. Florida is no Auburn.
