The narrative has been clear that both parties were stubborn, but according to everything LSU has said, UF's the only stubborn party.

When does the truth come out nationally?

You are not paying attention, Alleva wanted to make it happen, Foley didn't...........UF is the bad guy, not LSU.....pay attention......

It truly is irrelevant at this point.

The game is not happening this weekend. Time to put all that BS behind and figure out how to get it played later.

Well that is very different than "LSU labeled as bad guy"

If Alleva does what he needs to do, tell the SEC and UF to fly a kite at any mention of a reschedule, then LSU will definitely be shown as the bad guy.

No one is mentioning that LSU tried to move the moon to have this game played anywhere, anytime this weekend. It boggles my mind that this is not THE story of college football right now. UF backed out of a game and the incompetence in the SEC office allowed. EVERYONE ELSE IS PLAYING!

Yep.

Especially as time moves on

"It should have been played on that weekend, but it didn't and it's time to move on. For the integrity of the conference."

Doesn't matter what I or you think, if anything has been proven over time it's that whatever agenda ESPN pushes, that agenda will become fact. This morning on ESPN Gameday, the most controlling college football show in the nation, just ignored any misteps by the SEC office and the UF administration. They are already beating the drum that this game has to be played, now make it happen.

Basically, LSU you must now heel to UF's demands.

You could not be more correct. We are slowly being painted into a corner. Everyone wins except us. The sports networks do not discuss all the missed options, all they will focus on now is the November solution of cancelling our home game against S. Ala.

ESPN is playing the PC route and respecting Florida's decision to not play the game this weekend based on "safety". It's bull shite, but it's true. If you're expecting ESPN to criticize Florida for not playing this weekend, you can forget that. They're moving on and trying to put pressure on both schools and mainly the SEC to get the game played.

Our best hope is that Florida loses some games and Tennessee doesn't. That will make our game a moot point to the East. The incentive will then fall to us to play the game. It will then be our choice.

This is when you quietly play the we may consider a Big 12 membership card. Take a page from the NFL teams when they want a new stadium and threaten to leave.

This may be overboard, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are strong, STRONG things said about this.

Remember, we have the OOC home game on 11/19, so late in the season, because the SEC forced us into Thanksgiving Day games at A&M every other season... that wasn't LSU's desire or choice. If we play South Alabama as scheduled, you can bet at least half the week will be prepping for A&M as it is. To force us into a travel game at a major, possibly still ranked team, because THEY refused to consider other options, will be met with extreme resistance.

If we play Gators on the 19th, 4 SEC games in a row, 3 straight on the road. All in 19 days.

There's no way they can force LSU to play Nov 19th if they don't move the A&M game to Saturday. Simply not an option.

This game should have been played this weekend or on Monday. In Gainsville or whereever....but it should have been played.

It's imperative that both ADs and coaches look out for their players and teams best interest. That is totally acceptable and expected.

Sankey not taking this situation seriously is totally unacceptable. In my opinion it shows a lack of control and is grounds for dismissal. This is a huge problem.

I'm kind of confused as to what point you're trying to make. In no way was LSU the one that started this cluster frick. Alleva and LSU should be commended if anything. frick Florida. Their bitchmade-ery is the sole cause.

On Oct. 29, Florida is scheduled to play Georgia in the schools' annual rivalry game in Jacksonville. LSU is scheduled to be off that weekend, the usual open date ahead of its meeting with Alabama. Florida and Georgia share an off week Oct. 22, leaving open the possibility to move their game to that date and have LSU and Florida play the next week. The logistics of such a move — just two weeks out — is complicated, though.

I agree that Alleva did his best to get the game played this weekend, anywhere/anytime. But he was not competent enough to get it done. Foley was able to pull off the most audacious move by an athletic director in quite some time, and it will be completely overlooked. What is going to happen, is something that LSU was vehemently against. We will be forced to play UF on Nov. 19.

Joe did his best, but his best isn't good enough.
