We'll see. Mizzou might be creeping up to that area.
But most teams who are probably viewed around the same as us dropped games this weekend:
-Bama dropped two more and they're out of top 8 discussion unless they win the SEC tourney(can't imagine the SEC #8 gets a top 8 national seed)
-Arizona St also lost two and are trailing in Gm 3 right now
-Tennessee dropped two and even though they were ranked #2 their RPI will be in the teens

The top 4 seeds are locked in but after that it's a tossup.

I just wish we didn't have to play Georgia again, especially since we played so poorly against them. They seem to have our number. When was the last time we beat them?

WE beat them last year game 3 of the series 1-0.

Two bad innings in each game sealed the deal, other than that (huge I know) they played pretty well.

But if it did happen, it would HAVE to be Bama.

Does anyone think we can still host a super regional?

It's possible. We need to have a good showing in the tournament. A lot of the top teams with down this weekend. Arizona State lost 2 to unranked Arizona. Texas lost 2 to unranked Oklahoma State and Alabama lost 2 to Kentucky.

It will be tough. Our side of the bracket is loaded. If we win on Thursday, we will probably play either UF or Bama in the tourney semis.

We seem to fade down the stretch during the regular season. It happened last year as well, but we got hot during the post-season.

wat

We just swept Alabama last week. 2/3 against Arkansas is proving to be impressive. 2/3 on the road against top-15 A&M is impressive. Other than the first game, we looked great against mizzou.

I mean the way we lost the last 2 games. We played lights out against Bama, but laid an egg against UGA. We may have looked impressive against Mizzou, but we lost 2 of 3. I don't understand why Torina left Czechner in for so long today. She should have pulled her when the wheels started to come off. By the time Fico went in, it was too late.

I guess. But that is probably the toughest season ending stretch of anyone in the country, and for the most part we looked pretty damn good during it.

I completely agree with the Fico statement. Czechner did all we could ask of her, and somehow we dropped the ball not letting Fico close. Maybe we're resting her for the tournaments? Regardless Coach Torina was wrong not making the call, but good grief she's done an incredible job tus far. i can live with this coaching blunder and give her a pass

Maybe Coach Torina was concerned because Rachele struggled greatly with her control in game 1. Czechner has been strong for us all season, but she didn't have her best stuff today. While I do question Torina's decision today, I completely agree that she's done a fantastic job so far and that we are lucky to have her. Hopefully, we can come on strong in the post-season and get back to the WCWS.
