I'm going with an even more pathetic display for this week's game. Forget about what the announced attendance will be because we all know that is BS. My guess is over 70% of Tiger Stadium will become Vacant Valley by the start of the 4th quarter. LSU's fans have become some of the most spoiled rotten in all of sports...and that will be on full display again this Saturday night!

I personally gave my tickets away. Gonna hit the WW2 museum with my wife and grandparents and watch the game from my chair with a glass of bourbon and a steak. If it was a half arse decent opponent I would go but it's too much of a headache for Troy.

I somehow ended up with 7 tickets in my pocket last week. I think it will be even weaker tomorrow. I'm going 68,472 actual

ETA: I'll be there till the band leaves regardless because I love my Tigers and I have no social life

Tigerbait 2010: Interesting take...and disturbing. There was a time when LSU fans always showed up in force, regardless of the W-L record. Hell, I grew up going to Tiger games in the late 70s, 80s, and early 90s. Not always much to cheer about then, but just the opportunity to be a part of something so special as to experience LSU playing in Death Valley was enough.

The fact that you even used the word, "product" just reinforces my thoughts on supposed LSU fans like yourself being rotten brats who have forgotten what the word "fan" means.

games weren't on TV every week in the 70's, 80's, and 90's and even the ones that were you had to watch on a 30 inch SD crapbox

if it's not a product then why do they charge money to go?

"Product"....lol. That's the issue, LSU fans have now become JFK Business School Graduates. These are the same assholes that can give you a million excuses for leaving a 7 point game at the end of the 3rd. But these jerk offs constantly refer to themselves as "big Tiger fans". Please shut up and go away.

I'm going to guess that regardless of the score TS will look like it does for Bayou Country Superfest by halftime

This is the type of game where people give away tix or bring their kids, and when you have little ones they're not gonna sit there for 4 quarters so they leave early. And that's exactly what I'm doing, I'll be there until my kids are ready to go.

It has steadily been getting worse every year. Even in 2011 and 2012 the stadium was emptying.

You will hear people on this site say that:

Fans don't go because of the opponent.

Fans don't stay because LSU is blowing a team out.

Fans don't stay because LSU is getting blown out.

Fans won't go because the team isn't good.

LSU fans aren't going and aren't staying because the truth is...LSU fans could really care less. They have much better things to do.

This isn't the beginning...it has just gotten worse every year. The next phase is people that enjoyed going because they liked the event of watching the Tigers with a great crowd...are going to stop going.

Who wants to go to a game where the stadium is dead and empty? That is where I am.

I can't wait to tell my grand kids about the time that Myles Brennan hit Drake Davis in the corner of the North endzone to send us to the SEC championship....kids you should have heard the crowd go crazy...in my living room.

I lived all over the country and a couple things about LSU football stands out to me. !- All the negativity cannot help recruiting; and 2- The support for the team in the stadium is disgusting! A bunch of cry babies! "I paid my money and I'll leave when I want". True, but do you think you are helping the team in any way by leaving after half time?

I look d around the stadium just after kickoff last week and estimated that about 70,000 were there. I gave away my 4 tickets for this weeks game, but I will guess maybe 60,000 at kickoff.

With the weak non conference games being on TV now, I have no desire at all to go to those games. I'd rather drink beer and watch it on TV.

This will be another game for the poors. Everyone I know is giving their tickets to employees / selling them for next to nothing. Should be pretty packed early, but the poors' attendance patterns are to unpredictable to come up with anything more.

Three thoughts:

1. Didn't think of the "give-aways", but those who don't get to go regularly may actually stay longer than assholes who take it for granted
2. It's Homecoming, which means that the actual crowd to start the game will be better, but the mass exodus from the student section at halftime will be worse
3. Last week, late in the 4th quarter when the Tigers had finally "secured victory", I asked my son if he was ready to head out. He looked at me like I had gone full retard and said "no, Dad, we stay until it's over". Guess I raised him right.
