This is all dependent on if Nebraska loses to Wisconsin...

The Cap One Bowl wants to choose Michigan. If Nebraska loses to Wisconsin, however, they can't. There is a rule which states that the Cap One can't choose another team from the same conference that has 2 fewer wins than another team from that same conference. Therefore, the only possible teams the Cap One could choose would be Nebraska (who played there last year) or Northwestern. I think they'd take Northwestern, since Nebraska was just there a year ago.

Outback: Same rule applies here. Since Nebraska has 2 more wins than Michigan, Nebraska is the only choice. Also, Nebraska has never played in Tampa. Most people have South Carolina headed here, but that's who Nebraska played last year in the Cap One Bowl, and neither school wants a rematch. That leaves LSU to possibly slip in as a replacement.

Doubt it, but I'd love to see that game.

Yep... 0-5-1 all-time vs. Nebraska, plus Pelini used to coach for LSU.......

Will not happen.

South Carolina will go to the Outback bowl because the Outback crew is locked in with the SEC East.

Nebraska played South Carolina last year in a bowl game. Doubt they'd want a rematch.

The logic is the Cap One won't take Nebraska b/c they played there last year. Nebraska would fall to Outback. Outback would choose LSU over USCe because Nebraska played them in last year's bowl game. Get it?

Only turnoff for Atlanta for me is that the game is New Years Eve.

I'm sticking to the fact that the Outback will take a East school.
