Awesome! Thanks for posting. I had only seen highlights. This is a treat to get to see the entire game. I'm very impressed with the picture quality.

1:57:00 - Is that a real child or a special effects creature from a Japanese horror movie?

Interesting ... I thought LSU wasn't "relevant" until Saban arrived? Two Orange Bowls in the 70s; Orange Bowl and two Sugar Bowls in 80s. Numerous other bowl appearances. Facts are a stubborn thing.

I got this game for my dad on DVD...he is #93.
Dad said the coaches worked them so hard in preparation for this game that their legs were worn out before the game.
I saw dad get pancaked several times by the all american guard.

LOL. In the thirty eight years between 1962 and 2000, LSU won four SEC titles and zero national titles. In the twelve years since Saban arrived in 2000, LSU has won four SEC titles and two national titles. Facts are indeed stubborn.

Pretty sure we lost, but I can't for sure remember, so don't freakin spoil it for me.
Kinda like that kid in my 11th grade history class that didn't know who won the civil war, and didn't want to find out till the end.

I'm serious broh. He DID NOT KNOW who won.....he knew there was a war between the states and all, but the victor escaped his depleted brain cell capacity. lots of drugs.

was that Arthur Davis?
Amazing that their defensive ends were 190 bls and 200 lbs? Nebraska was so much bigger than LSU. LSU was such a scrappy bunch and talented, esp. Hamilton. LSU played a great game considering those early fumbles and Cantrelle injury, which put them in a hole. Didn’t realize Johnny Rogers was in this game, he almost broke a few, but was kept in check by the great LSU defense and special teams. It was the next year that Rogers ran wild in the same Orange Bowl crushing Alabama 38-6.

Pretty sure this is the game where Dardar kept knocking their all american center on his big butt. Finally the announcers quit talking about how great he was. Loved Dardar in that game.

Dude, The Tigers had some really good teams, great games and seasons back then but could never get over that "hump" into the Nat. Title scenerio with the big boys from like the 60's thru 90's until Lil Nicky arrived; deal with it! BTW, I remember watching this game like yesterday, was in 9th grade and proud that we hung with these Huskers but was so bummed we couldn't pull it off!

I remember this game! I love watching the old Tiger Defenses! They played with so much emotion even though they were smaller than most of the dominant teams of the day.

"LOL".
And in the 108 years "between 1893 and 2000" -
"""""""""""""""" B E F O R E """""""""""""""
Saban came to Baton Rouge, LSU was ranked as the #12 winningest team in college football history, and #9 in bowl appearances.
Guess what? """"""" A F T E R""""""" 2000 and
indeed, after 2011, LSU is STILL ranked as the #12 winningest team in cfb history, and #8 in bowl appearances. So your "LOL" retort didn't really accomplish what you wanted...

My sister-in-law wrote a HS paper on the Civil War. Her mom proof read it and said, "The paper's okay, but the South didn't win." She also once asked if Pearl River was where the Japanese bombed.

Yes Arthur Davis
Do you know him or remember him?

LSU had a 12-10 lead and the ball near midfield late in the fourth. Legend has it that Bert Jones ran his own play on 3rd down and missed, rather than run the play McClendon had called. Not sure if this was true.
