I saw that Les commented about the hire at Michigan, which pretty much no one here cares about really, including me. Got me thinking though, wouldn't it be kind of cool to have a home and home with Michigan? I don't know if it's ever been discussed, but that would be a huge draw with all of the storylines. It would have to at least be as big or bigger than the Wisc. game.

Anyone else like to go to a game at the Big House and then host Michigan? or vice versa

Won't happen as long as Miles is here.
My guess is we could see a neutral site game with Michigan at some point.

Aside from a home & home with USC, this is the match up I'd most like to see once Harbaugh gets UM up & running. It's shocking to me that we've never played one another

It almost happened several years ago in the rose bowl if I'm remembering correctly however Michigan threw a fit snd said they'd never played LSU and saw no benefit to doing so. Other words they didn't want an arse whipping.

That's the worst part about college football nowadays - the death of home and homes with non-conference opponents.

Would love to travel to the Big House or Ohio State or Autzen, but that's all been replaced with playing in neutral site stadiums. It's a shame.

There was one possibility, though it had absolutely nothing to do with Michigan not wanting to play LSU. USC was BCS #2 behind Ohio State, and Michigan was #3. If USC had beaten UCLA, they would have been in the BCS title game, #4 Florida would have been in the Sugar Bowl and #5 LSU might then have been invited to play Michigan in the Rose. But that scenario went out the window with USC's loss to UCLA.

LSU still might have gone to the Rose Bowl to play USC, though, but Florida leapfrogged Michigan to #2 in the final BCS standings, relegating Michigan to the Rose to play USC, and leaving LSU in the Sugar Bowl.

Most Big10 schools don't want to play in the south in September. They all play their non conference games in the first month...unless something has changed.

Absolutely THIS. LSU and Wisconsin is a great example. Two of the best game day enviorments going. It would have been fun for both sets of fans to share in that.

Les doesn't want to play his former team.

He still loves Michigan. They purposely do not schedule Michigan in the regular season because of this.

Yep. I want to see a home and home with USC more than anything else, Michigan is probably right underneath.

Is that how it works? Throw a fit and the Bowl committee picks a lower ranked team?

You know that LSU played football for over 100 years before Miles arrived here. The program is far bigger than any one coach.
