I just got my tickets for LSU vs Georgia...where is everyone staying...they rip you off on hotels in Athens for game weekends...there are only a few left...in Athens...$470 for the weekend...after what I just spent on tickets I don't know if I can justify that to my wife...:(

Booked 4star Wyndam in Atlanta since we are flying in late Friday night. Using priceline got the room for $44 a night for two nights. Couldn't find anything in Athens.

Just as many SEC fans choose to stay in NOLA and drive to Baton Rouge for their teams game, I recommend staying in ATL and driving to Athens for the game. Athens is a yawn of a town and ATL is full of Tigahs.

There is also a town called Commerce, GA right of I-85 20 miles outside of Athens, with rooms for $79 per night.

If you stay in Atlanta, get a room in the Northwest side of town. Lots of people will be making that drive, so suburbs like Gainesville area may be your best bet.

I live here and may try to get a room in Athens myself. At least lets get them booked before the Dawg fans.

About 30 miles away on I-20 in one of the best antebellum towns in Georgia. May be pricey

I have no personal knowledge of this place. Near the forestry school, which is a very quiet (*crickets*) part of town. LINK

I rented a condo a mile from the stadium and a mile from downtown. I booked it on VRBO. It ran me 500 for Thrus.-Sun. Flying into Atlanta Thrusday early evening and renting a car. And Athens is a great town to party in.

Prolly better staying in Atlanta. On game weekends, Friday night is big in Athens, Sa night is not quite so much.

Usually a day game, plenty of time to get back to Atlanta and party.

Be careful on gameday; some strange open container laws.

Should be fun .. They hate us a lot; the way we live, the way we drink, the way we Tiger Bait .. many of them absolutely detest the Tigers.

Damn, it's good to be a gansta.
