Who else saw this on the SECn? .. David Pollack arguing that Chubb is better than Fournette and Georgia's team, as well.. Thank God Booger and Marcus are on there at least. Who's the better team in yalls opinion?

Fournette gets the same yards as Chubb in half the carries. Puhleeze

I honestly haven't seen a full game of Chubb. Just highlight tape.

No doubt Chubb had the better season last year. LF could have the better career, but who knows. You can't go wrong with either.
As to UGA vs LSU, I'd say it's a toss up. LSU may be the more complete team, but tough to say.

Pollack was an ALL American at Georgia and probably lives in Georgia. How many of us when asked the same questions wouldnt say Fournette and LSU?

Marcus got fired up.

Chubb showed more over the whole season. Fournette had the bigger upside.

Saw the whole thing and wow, David Pollack is such a homer clown, still can't believe he said Georgia has more defensive talent

Problem with Pollack is that he works for ESPN as a national CFB analyst. He should be unbiased with his analysis.
He seems fair when not talking about UGA but more times than not as soon as UGA is brought up, his opinion comes across as biased for UGA. If he continues, he can work for the UGA radio team, IMO.
I think most around the country agree. It's was evident in his discussion b/w Booger and Marcus when talking about LSU and UGA.

So Booger and Marcus weren't all americans at LSU? This is a homer vs homer debate, of course they'll each defend their own teams and the players on their own teams.

chubb is one hell of a runningback.
now.......I know that we are all biased to buga as is david Pollack to Georgia. but, to argue that chubb is better, could possibly be a decent argument that will certainly be proven on the field.

Att Yards YPC Lg TD
Chubb: 219 1547 7.1 83 14
LF: 187 1034 5.5 89 10
Chubb ran for 100+ yards against 5 of the 8 SEC opponents UGA faced, plus Ga. Tech and Louisville (he also was 2nd on the depth chart behind arguably the best RB in the country for the first 6 games)
Fournette ran for 100+ yards in only 3 of 8 SEC games plus ND.
Except for LSU's game against A&M, Chub had a higher YPC than Fornette if you compare each guy's best games head to head.
Bottom line: LF has the potential to be a great RB, but based off of what we've seen ON THE FIELD so far, Chubb is the better player. Sorry.

Team wise if you take away 2003 and 2007 they are pretty much equal. They have differences mainly at developing QB's but both Caoches typically under achieve and the fanbases are split about 50/50 on them

LF had no passing game to take the pressure off the box.

I love Fournette, but Chubb was unbelievable last year and was clearly the better back last year. Whether that will be true this year, only time will tell, but last year Chubb was way better.
Chubb gained almost 2 ypc better than LF and have 500+ more yards. he also had 11 more catches out of the backfield too. It's very clear to say Chubb was better last year and there's really nothing outrageous about expressing the opinion that Chubb is the better back based on last year's body of work. That being said, I truly believe LF will narrow the gap this year.

I agree 100%, but that's not Chubb's fault. Blame the man in the hat on the LSU sidelines. It only took 11 games for them to realize that if you get the defense spread out a bit (with motion, jet sweeps, etc.) the running lanes for your all world RB might open up a bit more

I tend to agree that UGA has more defensive talent. I think LSU has the better OL and WR group and DB. However, UGA's DL and LB are pretty damn special and Chubb was indisputably better than LF last year.
I may not agree, but it isn't an outrageous thing to say by Pollack.
