I was 11 or 12. I remember watching at my Aunt's house. The whole entire family, all my cousins, grandparents, everyone, crowded around the TV.

I distinctly remember Herb Tyler scoring on the first option and then Cedrick Donaldson's pick 6 in the 4th.

It's actually the first time I remember thinking to myself that I was an LSU TIGER!

The energy level, the excitement, the CROWD, the passion. The thrill of fricking victory. I want Coach O to bring that back.

Maybe its youthful ignorance and bliss, but I know its obtainable. Thats the level of fan engagement we need to bring back. To where every game feels like we just knocked off the number 1 team in America.

Born June of 85..so 12? I was in Junior High for sure because I remember my football coach being fricking amped that Monday.

Then we lost to Ole Miss. Very upsetting.

What I can't figure out is, why we charged the field against Tennessee in 2000. They were like #10 or something. I'd be embarrassed to do that now.

We did it against Ole Miss... 3 years removed from a 13-0 season.

We were out for a buddy's bachelor party. We were in stadium first then headed to see the girls with daddy issues after. We were there and having fun, but when the highlights came on tv, the girls were again ignored. Great night!

I was on the field after the game. It was my freshman year at LSU. I saw a few people from MHS that I hadnt seen since graduation down on the field. I helped carry the goal post to the seats and then I bailed.

Oct 11 my 30th bday. Nobody in SOUTH UPPER 17 sat down the entire game. Had an elderly lady fall from a seat and dislocated her shoulder, pleaded with ems to " pop it back in" and let her stay and watch the rest of game. Those bastards made her leave!

The only thing that could possibly be more epic than this is would be that everyone in South Upper 17 crowded around the medics like you were Dalton's crew in Road
House and refused to let me carry her out.

Great story.

It solidified us being back after 4-7 and 3-8 seasons plus earlier that year we lost to UAB at home so ppl weren't sure about Saban yet until that game.

Not being able to remember your age is pretty funny. But this ...

quote:

I distinctly remember Herb Tyler scoring on the first option and then Cedrick Donaldson's pick 6 in the 4th.

... is how a Tiger fan is made.

That was the game where my clairvoyance peaked: I was in the student section & called 2 of the interceptions & the Florida fumbled in the 4th qtr. Like: we are going to intercept the next pass type shite. After the kickoff fumble everyone around me was like, "how the frick did you do that".
