In the last 5 LSU home games in the matchup, the average margin is literally 0. That's right. In the past 11 years in the match up, the games at LSU have netted a tie in total score.
In the last 4 years (with Bama 3-1), the average difference in the final score has been 3.5 points! The largest differences in the last 4 have come in OT games with Bama wins by 7 and 6. When Bama has won in regulation, the difference was only 4.
While I know many are cautiously optimistic of LSU's chances, they are not likely to get blown out based on the last 11 years of games.

Last 4 Bama games at LSU:
2014 = OT - Bama 20 LSU 13 - Bama converts 4th down with less than 1 min. to kick FG to force OT (Jennings 8/26 for 76 yds)
2012 = Bama 21 LSU 17 - Bama wins late in 4th Qtr LSU dom. game Mett (24/35 for 298yds)
2010 = LSU 24 Bama 21 - Jordan Jefferson and Jarrett Lee were QB (14/20 220yds)
2008 = OT - Bama 27 LSU 21 - Jarret Lee was the QB
JJ/Lee only QB to beat them, but we were more than "in it" in all of them - 50% of the games went to OT and one of those was due to a trapped pass by Bama to set up a FG.
To quote the late Marquis Hill, if LSU hits them in the mouth, they'll be in for at the very least a nip and tuck game. If we get their QB rattled, get some picks, make them one-dimensional, we could exact some measure of revenge/balance in the series of late.
To all of the fans predicting a Bama blowout: Anthony Jennings led LSU took them to the wire and should have won in regulation while throwing for 76 yards! LOL!
Grow a pair dudes. I bet our team will.
