LSU fans will be allotted 20,000 tickets for the 2016 season opener Sept. 3 against Wisconsin at Lambeau Field, the University of Wisconsin announced Monday.

Wisconsin will get 40,000 tickets for the game in the historic 80,735-seat stadium in Green Bay. The Green Bay Packers organization, which drew up the dispersal plan, will get the remaining tickets.

Ticket prices range from $91 to $118. Student tickets will cost $48.

The game is being billed as the Lambeau Field College Classic and will be he first major college game played at the 59-year-old stadium, best known for the 1967 Ice Bowl when Green bay defeated Dallas, 21-17, for the NFL Championship

Wisconsin is considering setting up a theater near the stadium where overflow fans who don't get tickets can watch the game. Wisconsin made similar arrangements when Nebraska made its first visit to Camp Randall Stadium in Madison and fans began showing up four days before the game.

You have to figure that 20-25% of the allotment are going to students, player/staff, and the TAF travel packages.

Was LSU allotted more tickets than Wisconsin for the game in Houston?

Yeah we got 40,000 in Houston, and Wisconsin got I want to say 13-15,000 because the stadium seats 71,000 as opposed to 80 like Green Bay. The rest went on sale on Ticketmaster and Advocare Buy Our Stuff Bowl Holders.

Is it bad that I'm considering donating to the Wisconsin athletic fund to increase my chances at tickets?

Nevermind, you said 25% to students, travel tigers and department combined. SO 15k tickets being spread to the season tickets holders? That's not bad

If not, that's pretty bullshite. Unless that was part of the original agreement.

From what I understand, it is legit. You may want to look more into it to make you comfortable. I'm unsure how they have tickets already, but I think people on here have used it for the Wisconsin game too

I have used it several times before without any issue, haven't used it for Wisconsin tickets yet, still looking around before going on the secondary market.
