LSU Ticket Office Selling Copies of Tickets?

We bought (4) tickets to the LSU vs. Kentucky Game about 2 months ago from LSUtix.net. Our tickets scanned at the door but when we arrived at our seats there was already a couple sitting on our seats. Looking at their tickets they had 2 of the 4 seat's tickets, same as ours. We got a member of the event staff involved and he confirmed that their tickets were also legitimate.
He offered no solution but took the 2 problem tickets and said he was going to the office and he would be back. He never came back and we were left standing around the whole game.
I have attempted to contact the ticket office but no one has replied yet.
Has this happened to anyone else?
(The couple said they also bought theirs from lsutix.net)

Happened to me at a baseball game a few years back. Bought one ticket from lsutix.net and sat in the seat I bought and in the 7th inning, a father and his son came to the seat and said that was their seats. Found out they were season ticket holders and we had the same section, seat, and row. It was really weird. They were nice enough to let me sit there the rest of the game cause there were a good bit of empty seats around us anyway

Yeah, we really wouldn't have cared if there had been any empty seats but... this happened to be a sellout

Yeah I gotcha. I guess maybe LSU does resell seats or something. I don't know. I never looked into it since I still got to watch the game and I wasn't a season ticket holder so it didn't affect me. I would call them and look for an answer though if I were in your situation. Try to get my money back

Although that sucks, I think LSU should get somewhat of a break here. There are many third party sites, scammers, all kinds of stuff. I know for a fact there were 5 empty seats directly in front of me in 210. In 209, there were at least 3 different pairs of seats 3 and higher. You could have sat somewhere else.
People who come to a single game and then bitch about quality of service, I take with a grain of salt. Although I believe you and it is unfortunate, you don't seem to be THAT upset about it.

Sorry i presented a legit solution to the OP's problem. You are part of the problem with society today. Society today wants to moan and complain about problems and criticize any solution offered instead of offering up their own tangible solutions. He asked a simple question about a legit issue. Not everyone lives in BR or can afford season tickets but still want to support LSU athletics. You were a dick for no reason and a poster earlier said the same issue happened to a season ticket holder so that wasn't even actually a solution.

Unless a season ticket holder sold some through ticket marketplace and then actually used theirs. If you do that they have the right to take your season tickets from you.
I can tell you since the UK game, finding a seat has never been a problem.

As I scanned my ticket a couple in front f me had print outs from the ticket office and they had trouble getting scanned
