Yeah, that is really the worst part about it. I also don't think they warn you ahead of time, just bill your account for different seats at the same price. I've heard a friend bitch about it.

Why not make it a designated section, like the section behind the visitor's dugout, and sell those season tickets for a little bit cheaper warning purchasers that in the event LSU hosts a super regional, they will be relocated. That way, you don't have to rotate the section that gets moved, and the purchaser knows of this from the get go.

A friend of mine in the green seats say they get relocated every fifth year. I am in the gold and don't get moved, however I have sat in the sun a few day games to let a friends elderly mother sit in the shade. I know LSU has no control and has to give up 1 section per year, but they need to take into account someone who can't sit in the heat because of health and not simply because they have gotten soft. I have really enjoyed sitting in the bleachers a few games, fans are great.

Just found out today that I'm bumped from green seats, literally six chairs to the right of the gold seats - to the right field bleachers. Just praying we win the first two (at night) games. I'm too big a wuss to sit in bleachers in the sun for a day game. I mean, I'll do it, not about to give up any tickets, but I'll complain about it. You get spoiled sitting in the grandstand, no doubt.

Because unless something has changed the "visitor", or non host team, may only be in that dugout once in the three games and they are guaranteed to be designated the home team for at least one of the games.

actually it's 2 sections. this season it is 209 and 210. last week section 210 was used as seats for players tickets, and family members.

The visitor's dugout never changes... just the team that's in the visitor's dugout. I think he's just talking about the section behind the 3rd base dugout (visitor's dugout).

1. Where were your seats? 209---very close to home plate
2. Where were you relocated to? for regionals, 207. for supers, 102--way out in right field next to student section- yuck!!!
3. Were you aware of this possibility when you bought those seats? yes, every 4 years my tickets will be moved for regionals/supers
4. Knowing that there is a possibility of this happening again in the future, will you renew your season tickets? absolutely!

Not in Right field.. That has always been deep left field last section. Unless they moved that.

This doesn't make a whole lot of sense. You could have MAYBE done this from the get go, but it's too late for that now.

The system in place is fine, it's just once every four-five years. I mean, it's better than being left without seats all together...think about it.

However, LSU should not charge the same price for crappier seats, if you are the one being moved. They should at least credit the difference.

That is what season ticket holders in the old Box were told would happen once we moved into the new Box. Not the specific location you referenced, but that the NCAA mandated number of seats between first and third base would be "held out" and sold as season tickets for regular season only, meaning that those same 600 tickets would be reserved for visiting team tickets when Regionals/Super Regionals came around. In 2009, all season ticket holders in the Grandstand received letters in the packet with our season tickets explaining the rotation system for relocations in new Box. Obviously, they did not keep their word. The Athletic Dept. sold every single ticket without any stipulations or a plan that would have made relocations unnecessary.

We have had season tickets since 1984 and were relocated twice in the old Box, and now this makes our second time in the new Box. There was no rotation system in the old Box and there were lots of people who never got relocated between the first and second times that we lost our tickets. There was a bit of an uproar about the way the ticket office failed to track which seats had already been taken and the lack of an equitable procedure for relocating season ticket holders. That is why we at least have a predetermined rotation in place now.

You should not have to pay your same price for the cheaper seats. Every time we have been relocated (this year makes 4 times total in both the old and new Box) we have paid the listed price for the relocation seats. Old Box when we played UCLA in the Supers we were relocated to different Grandstand seats so we paid our same price since we were still in the Grandstand. This time we have been moved from 209 to 127 behind the left field wall and we paid $67 (the posted price for bleacher seats plus the $7 processing fee). If you know someone who was charged for their original seats but relocated to cheaper seats, they should go to the ticket office and get the overcharge refunded. I don't know anyone that has had that happen to them before, but I do know that it is not supposed to happen.

Correct, but earlier in the thread someone made the comment below and I took it to mean they were suggesting giving the 3rd base dugout seats to opposing fans each year since it would be "their team's dugout".
quote:

You would think they would put the visitors fans right behind their dugout. That would still be considered "prime"

Unless something has changed or I'm misunderstanding what people are suggesting, ULL is only guaranteed to be in the third base dugout Saturday. So their fans possibly wouldn't be behind "their" dugout for Sunday and possibly Monday.
