We have enough pitching to win 40 games. The real problem will be just how fast this team can come together in one season.

I totally agree. The fruits of Dun''s labor are really going to show. Pitching alone makes LSU a dangerous team in the postseason regardless of seeding.
The ball is definitely in Andy's court. Again it's unreasonable to expect greatness immediately, but on paper LSU's hitting should be solid

remember that time there was a group of guys blasting Mainieri for not playing him in Omaha even when Hale and Chinea were struggling?

good to see

We knew hitting was going to be a problem but this is really bad.
The pitching is horrible too which is surprising. Might just have 3 good starters next year and very little behind them in which case we're in trouble. Pitching is expected to be really good and if it's not, we're going to have a short season.
We have a freshman coming in that's suppose to be really good right? Godfrey might be maturing into what we expected. If Latz comes back 100% then we'll be deadly in the bullpen. CPM might get his wish where Poche is a day 3 starter in which case that's nasty to think about.
I thought Bryce Adams was suppose to be a really good hitter?

Jake Fraley is playing well, but where the hell is this kids power. I'm not sure if its swing or what.

I can't figure it out either. I've seen him him some absolute BOMBS that were foul. I don't know why he can;t seem to turn on balls. he seems to have the build to hit for plenty of power

I hope this is because they are just using the summer to party their faces off and showing up hungover to every game.
Would make sense since Fraley is a bible thumper and the only one playing well.

Cape Cod League
Kramer Robertson - 0.262 BA, 61 AB, 16 H, 6 R, 1 RBI, 2 SB, 9 K, 7 BB average
Jake Fraley - 0.353 BA, 34 AB, 12 H, 10 R, 3 RBI, 2 SB, 3 K, 3 BB good
Doug Norman - 5 G, 1-0, 0.96 ERA, 9.1 IP, 11 H, 1 ER, 7 K, 2 BB, 1 SV good
Jake Godfrey - 4 G, 1.86 ERA, 9.2 IP, 8 H, 2 ER, 11 K, 7 BB good
Hunter Newman - 6 G, 1-1, 4.00 ERA, 9 IP, 3 H, 4 ER, 4 K, 8 BB a little wild, but not terrible

Northwoods League
Bryce Jordan - 0.306 BA, 36 AB, 11 H, 8 R, 1 RBI, 2 2B, 2 SB, 5 K, 7 BB good
Ryan May - 11 G, 0-3, 7.03 ERA, 32 IP, 38 H, 25 ER, 17 K, 13 BB Terrible, but was anyone really expecting him to contribute very meaningfully?
Collin Strall - 7 G, 1-0, 6.30 ERA, 10 IP, 9 H, 7 ER, 6 K, 6 BB terrible, but wasn't a huge contributor anyway
Alden Cartwright - 4 G, 0-2, 6.75 ERA, 10.2 IP, 10 H, 8 R, 14 K, 6 BB Kinda blows my mind he hasn't gotten a little better each year.
Hunter Devall - 3 G, 0-1, 5.40 ERA, 5 IP, 3 H, 3 ER, 6 K, 4 BBnot surprised

Jesse Stallings - 2 G, 6.75 ERA, 4 IP, 7 H, 3 ER, 1 K
Bad, but we are only talking about 4 IP and 3 earned runs. Not the sample size you need.
Grayson Byrd - 0.143 BA, 7 AB, 1 H, 1 RBI, 3 K
7 at bats? No care.
Austin Bain - 1 G, 4 IP, 9 K, 1 BB - 9 Strikeouts in only 4 innings in his only game this season
Small sample size, but damn great game!
