I am hoping to hear someone say that it is because of this or that but it appears that these stats are real. No excuses, these stats suck minus a couple guys

I still feel really good about our pitching staff next year, especially if Latz comes back strong, and none of our likely weekend starters are listed here. It's really too bad we lost so much on hitting and defense to back them up, and these stats don't exactly inspire too much confidence there.

Hopefully these stats are just the result of playing a long season with LSU then jumping directly into summer ball. My guess is that these guys are probably having a tough time finding motivation after such a long year. Maybe they just want a break?

Whatever it is, let's hope these guys pull it together before fall practice starts!

Couldn't pick a better time for a hitting slump.

Offense will be at a premium next year if the jucos don't come in game ready

Pitching will have to carry

The stats that are clearly a bad thing are:

Deichmann - 47 K in 173 AB
K-Rob - hitting .262 looked bad at first but now, he is one of the best hitters LSU has in summer ball
Reynolds - In 4 games he has only pitched a total of 6 innings and has given up 8 earned runs
Ryan May - Probably has the most innings pitched and has just TERRIBLE stats
Austin Bain - One game, 9 K in 4 innings is awesome!

Overall LSU has 3 HR from the 9 hitters that stats are available for and no one has more than one.

Beat me to it. These guys are some high ceiling talents that can produce with the right coaching. I'm not expecting greatness right out of the gates, but I'd like to see LSU have 2014 Arkansas like season, where it comes together in conference play
