You can say that again. The likelihood of the Tigers winning five SEC Tournament games in five days, then winning six straight in the Big Dance, is infinitesimally small

This then becomes an asterisk situation as it pertains to LSU freshman records.

Todd Linden did this in a game at Alabama in 2001. Did Miley do it in the same inning or something?

I was there; it was 5 touchdowns in only 5 catches. Rice-1977.

But didn't he open the next game with his first catch being a touchdown?

Winning 100 yd dash and ShotPut in SEC Track Meet...Cannon '59

I wanted to put Cannon's 100 yd time in this thread (it's reported at 9.6 in some places, 9.4 in others) but I could not find it posted in any LSU record books that I could find.

Anyone have a legitimate source that references this record (reported)?

ETA: On related note, LSU's 2016 Track and Field Guide, p. 129 shows Billy Cannon as the 1958 SEC 100 Meter Champ with a time of 9.9. Even factoring in hand-timing and the 'homer' factor in the publication, it's reasonable to assume at least a 10.2, probably faster. And the dude was running on cinder tracks...

How many pick sixes did Auburn have in that game? That may stand the test of time. Sorry, old and can't remember the year.

Not really because he was playing against other freshman. It would be like having a high school JV record supersede a varsity record. Freshman team was JV, it makes zero sense that anyone would think that would be a greater achievement than doing something against upperclassmen.
