Yep, lets let one of the best hitters in LSU Softball history to walk after setting a few program records as a sophomore.
Jaquish will likely break Bianka Bell's HR record if she stays on track. She had a slump at the end of there year, it happens. It be stupid to allow a player like Jaquish to leave.

Jaquish solid at 3rd? When and what games? She is a solid DH at best. Was kinda hoping she might transfer. She is not very well liked by most of the team.

It makes me wonder why you post what you do at times....
I don't see any posts that Bregman wasn't liked by the baseball team, Jennings wasn't liked by the football team, Ballard wasn't liked by the WBB team, or Martin wasn't liked by the basketball team.
Or even when people are upset with the coaching, I don't read the comment that "Miles has gained weight, the extra fat must affect his decisions," or "Manieri is getting balder so his brain cells are evaporating out of his head," but we had to endure your comment (which was RA'ed and deleted) that Torina was pregnant and "her hormones are affecting her decision making in the 3rd base coaching box."
Really?? I enjoyed reading the forums about softball when you were quiet and then you were positive when we were in the World Series, but this??? Come on...
I saw the team and stayed in the same hotels at times in Palm Springs, Gainesville, Columbia, OKC and I never saw anything like you are saying. Every team from time to time may have players who aren't happy with each other, but they are successful because they leave that crap in the locker room and when the cross the gate to enter the field, they are there to play. And believe you me, after coaching softball 25 years, I've seen teams who got along great, not play well, and some who couldn't stand each other, win a championship. It's all what happens on the field, so this crap about players not liking someone needs to GEAUX.

You provide nothing good when it comes to softball news. I posted a preview of the incoming players with information I have, gathered from the connections I have. Then you want to flame this thread.
And yes jaquish had her moments but she has made a lot of great plays as well. She has a cannon of an arm.

She seems very selfish and isn't a very good third baseman. I have heard that she threatend to transfer if she was moved to DH permanently. I say let her go. We have plenty of talent on the team and coming in. As far as not being liked... I have heard it from more than one of the players she isn't.

Geez. Some of you have panties that was wayyyy to easily. Just adding to the post withy opinion. I have followed this team since its re-inception in 1997. Speaking of Bailey, was I wrong about her? Too bad she wasn't the one who transferred to Baylor. Sellman really improved from 2014 and I hoped she had stayed.

Because that's not what you're saying. "I hope she transfers" isn't "I don't think she's best at 3rd base"(which is wrong because she was clearly the best option there this year). And "I heard the other people don't like her" has even less to do with it.

Talked to several players and parents who have told me this. She is a great hitter at times. Freshman all American is great. We have a tremendous third baseman on the bench. Hope we see a little change next year. Offense wins games... Defense wins championships.

Tammy Wray was a very good defensive 3rd baseman, she never had a fielding % as high as SJ had this season. The only infield regular with a better fielding % was Kloss.

You wanting her off of 3rd base is saying that because almost all head softball coaches coach 3rd base.
You also lost your credibility when you said that by being pregnant, her hormones were off. You let it out before the Torina family let it out that she was pregnant like it was a reason why we had a small slump late in the season.
Also I'm sure the players and parents appreciate you spilling out negative information about the team that should stay in the locker room.

I was only trying to suggest that maybe the pregnancy was causing a lack in judgement. Torina is a great recruiter and is putting together a great program that should compete for nattys for years to come. Some mental lapses in the middle and late season made me question what was going on. It was very uncharacteristic. Once the obvious baby bump was there, it became a possible answer to her errors.

Okay. We can agree to disagree. I love the tiger girls. They have a good thing going now. Cannot wait to enjoy the season again with my daughter as we did this season. It was fun to watch and teach her about the game. In one year, she already knows more than most of the posters on here and fans in the stands.
