Lynn Amedee was one of our quarterbacks that year.

Your question piqued my interest so I cheated by pulling out my book, Greatest Moments in LSU Football History. Seems that we also had a quarterback named Jimmy Field.

Thanks! You've answered our question. We knew it was Jimmy somebody.

In 1961 the QB was Lynn, he was also the QB for 60-61 and 62.
The leading rusher in 61-Earl Gros, the leading receiver-Wendell Harris.
Note: in 60 and 62 the leading rusher- Jerry Stovall... in 62 the leading receiver-Jerry Stovall.

Want to take a guess as to what former LSU QB had a Passing Efficiency of 146.0 one year?
Posted on 8/10/08 at 12:40 am to LSUDad
A number of Qb's have been over 141.
Alan Risher was 146.647 in 1982
LSUDad I have every pass thrown by a QB or other to 1957 and most years all the way to 1937.
Notice Rohan's 146.470 in 2001?
Hodson best year is 143.413
Russell's 167.03
Matt Mauck 148.240
Bert Jones 141.593
Herb Tyler 147.16

Jimmy Field is now on the La public service commission.

Thats right, the Wranglers.
Then a short time with the Bucs and Packers....

Arizona Wranglers, then Tampa Bay and Green Bay
I watched the game where Risher set the record long pass in USFL history.
BTW his cap was $2,320,000 for the Wranglers.

You should have made it over to Hooters with us tonight. WE had a lot of LSU Football talk going on.
Last one, you know former LSU football player Chuck Mamoudis?
Posted on 8/10/08 at 1:20 am to LSUDad
Alex Clark 1987 6 ints, just looked up Alex Clark.
All those great Dbs from 1978-1987, the best two CBs didn't do much in the pros Chris Williams and James Britt.
Chuck Mamoudis?

Just got in a program from 1972 with Lora Hinton in it.
Lora had he not been injuried in his Sr year in high school would have been a good defensive player.
Oh and Watching Casanova's int vs ND last night was something else.
As was the three forth down stops.
Andy was all world that night.

I'm friends with Lora's son. I brought him an old program with his Dads name and Pix in it.
