that's the point. I agree.
the LSU president is threatening to take some unspecified action if Mike won't go to games.

OK, TIGERATTHEU, what does that quote mean to you?
sounds like forcing him, to me.

You should read the link below. I am not into forcing Mike the tiger to do anything, but it seems to me that the LSU president IS considering it as an option if Mike won't go on his own.
I am always surprised how people blame the messenger, as if I agree with the content. I am against making Mike go.
And if he DOES go, they should keep the cheerleaders off his roof.

He is saying that the university understands the fans' desire to have Mike attend the games. He is reassuring them that they haven't abandoned trying to load him for the games. But if they fail during the first 4 home games this year, they might not try again until next season.
Do you think it is likely that a university president would release a statement in support of what you are implying? Or is it more likely that he is placating the fans at the beginning of the season that they are still making an earnest effort to get Mike into the stadium?

Where in that article is there any indication of "making" him load?
The article indicates they will try for the first three games and will revisit the decision in October if he fails to load.
Your interpretation is not even a stretch. It's flat baseless.

Let Mike skip a couple of meals, then put some food in the trailer. How hard is that?

Alexander said the other option is to leave Mike in his habitat for the fans to enjoy from there rather than including him in pre-game festivities at Tiger Stadium.

"Alexander plans to stand inside the trailer and say Here Kitty, Kitty. He will also use a laser pointer. "

Won't happen. They've made it clear that the decision is up to the tiger as to whether he wants to get in the cage or not. They posted that a few days ago on his Facebook page. It was in an article I read.

Trade him for Tony the truck stop tiger. I'm sure Tony would enjoy getting out of his cage.

Skip dinner before gameday. Come gameday throw a nice juciy steak in the cage for him.

Well, it WOULD make for one intimidating as hell pissed off tiger for the other team to have to run past...but cruel nonetheless.

He's gotta pay his tiger rent somehow.

Who needs mascots? I've never, ever seen a Tide or a Green Wave in Tiger Stadium. Katrina was close.
