let me first start by saying i bleed purple and gold like most of us but LSU has not won a big game under les in sometime now. We all know les is a players coach and thats what we love about him but seems like stoops and brown are players coaches as well. You see a pattern here? As much as we hate saban the man keeps his players focused they blow teams out when there expected to ,they show up in big games! Can the same be said for LSU lately? see ole miss, clemson, alabama etc...Les needs a win to tell the nation that he is a quality coach and that LSU is still relevant as a NC contender every year. I know LSU lost alot in the draft but powerhouse teams dont rebuild they reload right! Les and LSU need to prove that against A&M I will probably get flamed but when was the last time LSU beat a quality opponent??

How about beating an Auburn team that beat A&M..?

It's sad that my fellow Tiger fans consider beating A&M a big win.

Would you fill confident that current LSU could beat current auburn team on a neutral field???I believe we have the same talent level as all the current top 10 teams but why do we have 3 loses?

Yes. LSU moved the ball at will against Auburn.

We don't have the same talent as all the current top 10.

Aside from 2 WRs, a Running back, and maybe a QB there is not much talent to brag about.

Based on what, exactly? When was the last time South Carolina out-recruited us? Where do you think we usually rank compared to Oregon? How bout Baylor? Missouri?

I'm mostly talking about the defense.

and I'm basing it off the product on the field.

Did LSU get worse or Auburn get better? LSU has complete control of the game against Auburn. That game had me rethinking my 9-3 projection.

The product on the field isn't solely determined by talent. We play less talented teams all the time that give us hell. If talent was the only requirement we wouldn't even pay coaches, we'd just hire really good recruiters and tell the kids to go out there and get it done with their superior talent.

Some kids are just so naturally gifted that they don't need coaching, but most aren't, and lately we don't seem to be developing those kids.

I hate this kind of shite.

What's the point of even playing the games anymore?

Only because Alabama lost to them last year. A&M is nothing special.

I am aware of this.

But since LSU has had proven defenses in the past, and has proven they can coach and develop defensive players, my only option is to assume the talent is not there.
