I received this email from the ticket office today when I asked about refunds:

The set up process has taken a bit longer than originally anticipated with working with the University on how to handle all of the transactions. We are hoping to begin processing as many today as we can and the credits should show up on your card in the next few business days.

They are probably waiting for an insurance policy to pay.

Or collecting interest on it for a month before refunding it.

Question about this refund crap:

Let's say I'm a season ticket holder, and I sold my ticket for that game....do I now profit from getting the refund?

Only if you sold to a stranger

If you know the person that bought the tickets, you should try to get them their money back.

From the ticket office, or from a 3rd party?

If I purchased someone else's tickets through the Marketplace, do I get a refund?

If you truly support LSU athletics, why are you so concerned about getting a refund because of weather that LSU had no control over? I believe the LSU athletic dept. recently agreed to donate 5 million to the university because of state budget cutbacks. Oh I forgot, these are the same people that trash season ticket holders that pay through the arse year in and year out to support the LSU. Never Mind.

Because liquid interest rates are just awesome right now.

LSU looks for money, but I doubt they would go through that level of trouble from the departmental side to make a hundred bucks.

exactly what I thought...that interest wouldn't pay for the ice that melted in the concession stands that night...
