At what time in the first half did we make our last free throw?

I wonder if any P5 team went longer without a FG this season

And we got some easy looks too. None of these guys should leave. Not a single one is any where near ready.

Why should that be a surprise? We have no offensive game plan. When it gets down to the end of a game, every possession is important. We have no clue what to do in that situation. We throw away possessions throughout the game, but it isn't noticed until each one matters. This is purely about coaching. Players missed the free throws, but any coach with a poor free-throw shooting team is a bad coach. Free throw shooting is not about ability, it is about mental discipline and practice. A coach who loses a game by 1 point shooting 1 for 7 from the FT line in the final 2 minutes has no one to blame but himself.

Certainly none of them have any possibility of playing in the NBA right now, but leaving wouldn't be a bad idea. They might actually get some coaching if they played in Europe or something.

Yup.

LSU went over 12 minutes against Auburn down the stretch.

8:31 in regulation to 1:24 in overtime.

Yes, he absolutely did. And anyone who doesn't realize that is clueless. Any player can shoot free throws well. The only thing they need is to be taught how to concentrate and discipline themselves to do it. That's a coach's job. He who fails to do it doesn't earn his salary.

Or you could say the coaching was flawless until the last 5 minutes when mickey gave it up every time he touched the ball Or the billion missed free throws. What about when mickey was standing under the goal for the game sealing bucket and choked. Those factors are why we lost. Jones coached this one as good as any.

Michigan State ranks 336 out of 351 in free throw shooting. Tom Izzo is a great coach. Johnny Jones is not a great coach.

I've said it all year we have no low post game to depend on when game slows down. Still should have made enough free throws to win. Nova would have crushed this team anyway.
