Truly one of the greatest LSU sporting events of all time. I've run into people all over the country who claim to have seen that game and speak of it in awe. Bo Kimble's pre-game comments that LMU would run LSU's "big guys ragged" came back to haunt him as Shaq blocked shot after shot.

I swear on all that is holy I was at that game. And no, I wasn't at the UNLV game of the same year, but was front row for Blanton's GW 3 the year before. NO, I wasn't at the Dome to see G'town, but was for Texas 3 years after. No, I didn't see the '86 Memphis State buzzer beater...but I did see LSU comeback from an incredible deficit to beat NLU by 1 point. Anyway...yes...I was at the LMU game. Portal U row Q seat 12.

I love coach Brown but he disappointed us with that team. Shag, CJ and S. Roberts and we didn't make the sweet-16. Talked about a waste of talent.

Even Navy with only 1 dominated guy in the middle named D. Robinson made some noise in the NCAA tournament (not the same year).

I think DB can coach a hunter-team, not a hunted-team.

I WAS at all the games you mention... twas a GREAT time to be a student AND an LSU basketball fan... the LMU game and the UNLV games were just like tennis matches... your head just went left-right-left-right, back and forth, back and forth, as if you were courtside at a tennis match... camping out for those games under the ramps and overhang became a regular hangout during basketball season...
