IMO, the game will be decided at the second level of LSU's defense...The LB are going to be tested but if you think about it, we stopped Auburn's Running Game then you know what happened next...Str8 Bashed them boys...

UT shut down TRichardson, I know we can. If we do that, Brodie Croyle ...errrrrr AJ Micmuffin is dead meat. 12-35 for 145 yards 0 TD 3 INTs.

I agree. This will be the game changer in stopping the run. The d-line usually does their job but a big part of run stopping falls on whether or not the linebackers fill quick enough.

Let's hope the game is not decided with the linebackers cause we don't win that one.....I love this team but the Linebacker play is just horrible sometimes.

On the offensive side of the ball Alabama and Auburn have very similar styles...Bama's offensive attack is run heavy just like Auburn and they(Bama) have a fairly inexperienced qb which i think is their fatal flaw.

The actual thing is that they are quite different in several ways. Auburn is a running team, but a much more diverse team in that sense. They run well to the inside with power plays with Dyer, and have a treat speed threat on the outside in McCalleb.

Bama on the other hand doesn't have a great speed back. They have all power backs, but they aren't slow by any means. They just don't have a guy like McCalleb.

Looking at the Bama game, LSU shut down all of the runs by Dyer and anything else up the middle. McCalleb had a couple of nice speed runs to the outside, but LSU otherwise handled everything else. That is what shows LSU should be able to handle to some degree Bama's running game. Bama doesn't have that speed option nor a running QB like Auburn did, so I believe it will be a very good matchup for them.

That is why i think the LSU Linebackers against Bama Runningbacks will be key on NOV 5, 2011.
