It can't be stated enough that Florida has the best collection of arms of any team in the country, but their achilles heal has been that they can't hit for shite this season.

Hopefully what our bats did today is a sign of things to come because that's what we'll need.

If we can beat a team that lost 4 games all season two times in a row then we can take care of Florida. Just my opinion. We beat a good arse team two times in a row.

Problem is our pitchers are a day behind the schedule.

While I agree, you can easily rationalize from Florida's perspective that they beat LSU 2 of 3 this season.

Well they won't have Faedo, who I think is just unreal.

Will their SS be back?

No, we threw our #3 starter today. We can't count guy's who are out for the season as part of our rotation.

At most Faedo will be available for relief in game 3. He threw 115 pitches today.

If it goes 3 games, he'll pitch at some point.

Florida would be lying to themselves if they thought they were getting that LSU team again

Couldn't be many innings

I agree, but it still happened, so the familiarity is there.

The way I understand it Singer UF #2 is ready for Monday. Poche won't be ready until Tuesday, Lange can pitch Wednesday, Gilbert maybe able for a few innings Wednesday.

Tweets from media with Mainieri tonight say he may hold Poche until Game 2. Lange will only play Game 3.

While I agree, you can also rationalize this is not the same LSU baseball team that lost 2 of 3 in Gainseville early in the conference season

That whole series came down to game 1 Lange throws a complete game gives up 1 run and our bats couldn't bring in a run despite having multiple runners on base. Point is that series was fairly even with that game and then they beat up Poche Pretty bad in game 2 and then game 3 our bats went rake city. I'd say it was a pretty close series.

It's an interesting pitching match up I think. Monday we're going to be throwing Wholestaff vs their #2. Tues will be sort of the inverse with poche pitching for us. Game 3 im not sure who they would be able to pitch, but we should have lange available.
