I just look at that dynamic offense that Oregon has. It generates excitement and utilizes their athletes to the best of their potential. Compare that to LSU's complete incompetency. LSU should have an offense like that with all of the talent we have in this state. Add a bad arse defense and our program would be unstoppable. It's frustrating knowing this and watching the success of the Oregon program.

it always blows my mind why Oregon can't field a dominant defense.

You people are just not hearing me. I think LSU could have a badass defense with the added plus of a dynamic offense like Oregon's and kick some arse with it.

No we heard you but there is no way LSU "could" make that leap next year. Still the original poster was a Troll.

Why? It's a wildly successful category of offensive systems that are being utilized at every level of football.

Ok, I love a ground and pound running game. Maybe a zone read offense is what I mean. Just more wrinkles and getting playmakers in space. A hybrid of ground and pound and what Oregon runs. With a badass defense. Does that make sense and is that type of system even possible?

Well, #1, the "spread" has now come to be defined as including everything up to the Seattle offense. So, I should clarify that I hate the pure spread.

But, when I look at NFL power rankings, I can't help but notice that the "spread" isn't exactly dominating the top of the rankings. LINK

Offense doesn't give the defense enough rest.
