tigerswin, I was not making any subtle comments bout Skip's fundraising while AD. I've been following LSU athletics a lot longer than you have I'd guess, as I've had season tickes since 1961. As such, I recognize the value of keeping our facilities upgraded & top of the line. I was referencing some of the things done behind the scenes. The last comment was more bout Skip as a person, not LSU's AD. And, no, I am not stupid, just been around the block long enough to hear things.

Very classy of LSU. In reality Skip deserves to have the entire stadium named after him, but props to LSU for ensuring the legacy of a veteran.

Hawthorne just pronounces it 'Alec Box Stadium' because it sounds better and rolls off tongue better than saying 'Alex Box Stadium.'
