I'm calling it now.

Jimbo stays.

Gruden to LSU.

Miles to Tulane.

You know that Jimbo Fisher hasn't said shite to anyone except Jimmy Sexton, right?

And I guarantee you Sexton speaks only in hypotheticals so as to not bind his client to a contract until he means to. He's a lot of things, but "not good at his job" ain't one of them.

Miles announced today at Gridiron that he would not coach any bowl appearance. aTm will be his last game. Does that mean he is quitting?

Jimbo deal falling apart. 90% chance Les stays and LSU looks like a bunch of idiots.

Didn't happen according to LSU's official twitter and Bonnette.

It's premature, but this was my biggest concern about doing such a thing. Primarily, my concern was people like him using this situation to get a raise at their current job location. Sexton is like Scott Boras in baseball. Nothing is ever as easy as it seems.

Now, we'll get to see what is true and what is not and just how big and bad our BOS is along with Alleva. This is what the fans wanted...to essentially pay more money to someone else for potentially the same results record-wise.

There is no way that LSU is successful going forward with Leslie Miles as HC. No way at all. It may get worse, but it may not. Staying with Miles is as close to a guarantee that LSU football with stay irrelevant for as long as he is there. I am sure that Fisher and his agent noticed how Miles was able to get two extensions by feinting going to other schools. Who knows, maybe that is all Fisher wanted out of this. In any case, staying with Miles is a losing proposition with which only losers would be satisfied.

No I think I understand exactly what's going on here based on this OP post...

FSU countered, Jimmy picked up the phone and told LSU "Whatcha think about that, can you raise your number for Jimmy to come, I have to ask, just doing my job?

And LSU is like "We had a deal already, so no we aint' playing money games now, you gave us your word already"

Sexton is like "Well I am obligated to let you know FSU countered and Jimbo is think hard over it"

Meanwhile Miles is hanging out to dry but hasn't been fired officially

so unless Jimbo agrees to the prior agreement, Les Miles won't be fired

Thus, it' aint a deal of any kind unless Miles quits...

Which does two things

It gives LSU a bunch of money it didn't have prior

and it forces LSU to find a coach regardless (because MIles quit), so you might as well give Jimbo his money because he is in fact your first choice.

6 million is getting ridiculous. 1 million more than he makes now..

7 million is stupid money..reserved for those that have won 3 titles or more. Or Jim H....

Does Bill freakin Bellichick make that much money?

Wow!

These developments suck really really bad...IF TRUE!

I was afraid Alleva would lose badly and thus LSU loses really badly.

if this happened, how can it be said that Sexton has no enemies.. I call BS

Some big errors like Miles quitting and this underplays the boosters that promised that he would take the job but otherwise fairly accurate.

If that narrative is accurate, then LSU (assuming it is not completely incompetent) would necessarily already be moving on to Plan B.
