re: LSU in zombie defense / sloppy offense mode

This was a good win. Great even considering it would have been easy to have a letdown after the tough loss last game. But for the life of me I do truly hate it when a team stops playing to win and starts playing to not lose.

And we do such a poor job of it. They let the shot clock wind down to 7 before attempting to score and that just isn't enough time. Sure you've got a big lead and don't want to be running at a helter skelter pace and taking bad shots. But we end up taking bad shots anyway and go back to our olay defense as we let them drive in for easy buckets.

It is the exact same thing that Miles has done in football. Trying to eat up time with the running game but failing and then it is third and Chavis. Why do they do this?

Everyone, myself included, concedes we are flawed team. It starts at the top with Jones and trickles down. But we're in a goddamn good spot considering our rocky start and some people like to acknowledge that instead of dwell on the flaws that have been beaten into the ground on this board and in the media. Yesterday was a nice win, especially in light of the fact that we had to turn around after a tough loss to the #1 team in the country and go on the road and play a team that plays well at home. There's reason for fans to be happy. Get over it.
