I just graduated college in May and was lucky enough to get hired on as a coach. I know coaches can get tickets free but I have a couple of questions. Maybe some of you can help. 1) what section of the stadium are the seats in? Are.they good tickets? 2) how do I actually get the tickets? I have my lhsaa card, but I don't know where to go to actually pick them up. Thanks in advance

Why don't you just call the LSU ticket office and ask your questions?

If you don't have an answer, please don't be a smart arse. I'm just trying to figure it out while im at work

It does matter. If I'm in tiger stadium, I want to have at least decent seats to watch the game. If they are terrible seats then I don't have a problem paying for better ones

Well you lhsaa card will not cut it.
Talk to the head coach or athletic director at your school. They have to sign you up for the LFCA card. I believe they are 50 dollars a coach, not sure our AD pays for ours.
There is a specific gate you go to, flash your card and you get up to two tickets.
They are in nose bleeds, but they are free, plus you get to see the whole field and the plays developing which I actually enjoy, plus they have the new concession stands up there.

Better is a relative term.
I have had closer seat tickets in my hand and given them up to sit back there. Usually its other coaches and generally fun people hanging out up there so it is fun to go and hang up out there. Generally no douchey fans bitching every five seconds either.
Plus, unless you are in the center, you have a harder time seeing a lot of the action on the opposite side f the field.

to try to answer your questions:
1) it could have changed in the last few years, but they LHSAA tickets were in section 610; (unless you are at a school with a prize recruit, then you get different tickets)
2) again, if it hasn't changed, your head coach or principal would need to go through the football coaches association (there is a link on the LHSAA website) and register. you would then be sent a card. you do not get tickets until game day. there is a designated gate for HS coaches to enter at Tiger Stadium. (it used to be on the South end of the stadium). You go through the line/gate process and get to a table. you need an id and your card from the coaches association. sign in with your name and school and then they give you a ticket. once you get the ticket you can't leave the stadium. (you can get a ticket for you and 1 guest.)
again, it has been a few years since I was familiar with the process and things may have changed but this is a general idea of the way that it worked for years.

You know they say that, but in several years I have never been asked to show my id once.

Not being a smart arse, when I have a question such as yours I generally look up the phone number and/or email and communicate directly with someone that can either answer my questions or put me in touch with the right person. You're asking a question on a message board that will probably give you right and wrong informaiton. Better yet since you are a coach, why don't you ask one of the other coaches on your staff. And quit being so senstive.

My cousin coaches in New Orleans and he comes to all the home games and gets in the locker room and sits like on the 50 yard line because he has 2 kids on his team that LSU is recruiting so he comes with them not sure how it works. I know that Justin Vincent is the guy that always greets them at the gate them come in.

You must be one of those idiots who gets a hard-on when 'tax dollars' is mentioned.
High school coaches attend games, scout, etc. If someone who has no connection to football had been pissing their time on TD then their employer may have a problem.
Private schools have football coaches too.

At least a few years ago Coaches tickets were in the East Upper. My cousin is a local coach and that is where he had to sit
