LSU has commissioned a statue for Bob Pettit

LSU has commissioned a statue of former Tigers' All-America and NBA star Bob Pettit, which is expected to be unveiled prior to the conclusion of the 2015-16 basketball season. The life-size statue will be placed in the area in the front of the practice complex near the Shaquille O'Neal statue and next to the new gymnastics practice facility. Pettit played for the LSU varsity from 1951-1954, earning All-American honors in 1953 and 1954 and All-SEC honors all three seasons. The Tigers won the SEC Championship in both 1953 and 1954 and advanced to the Final Four in 1953.

maybe that is going a little to far. but they got statues for every coach who won a NC. So far we only got statues of tigers on every corner, and one of shaq. that i know of off the top of my head.

I was wondering what statue would be placed there. You can clearly see they already have a base for it.
With that said, I respect Bob and I'm a huge basketball fan...but a statue of Bob Petit? Very few outside of LSU have any idea who he is. And the whole "top 50 NBA player of all time." Well, that list came out 10 years ago, he is not on it anymore.
Much rather a statue of Dale Brown, or the court be named for Dale.
