The price for tickets & fees continues to rise while the value is being diminished.

You're essentially paying for convenience, the guarantee of seating, and the ability to maintain the same seats.

You'll likely NEVER see another quality OOC game in Tiger Stadium and may be subjected to an overabundance of day games.

Combined with poor traffic planning, reduced parking areas, broken escalators, excessive hip-hop "music", and increased concession charges...I think you'll begin to see the renewal percentages begin to drop. This will open the door for many who want to become season ticket holders.

With 100+K seats and very few quality games, you'll likely be able to buy underpriced tickets for almost every game. Welcome to college football 2015!

This is a big problem. The freaking parking costs more than my tickets are worth.

Reading what all of yall pay makes me feel better about mine. The secret is to get a job working for LSU. They will waive all or part of the tradition fund, depending on where your seats are. 2 seats at face value!

yep that is nuts. what's crazier is try and buy a parking pass that isn't at Alex Box for a football season.

True, but every year I can sell one game and pay for the season. Or in last years case, two seasons!

the only problem with that is the game you sell is one or two of the only games worth going to see. all the other tickets you can get outside the gate for almost nothing. so what do you gain?

Not that big of a problem. I'll get in the other games free. Plus, SEC games sell pretty well. Always get above face for them. I also get face, sometimes higher, for OOC games.

I along with many others have given up season tickets because they are a bad investment.
During the Denardo era, you could scoop up some nice 40-45 yd line ticket 20 rows up if you just bellied up to the ticket window. Fast forward to 2003? Not saying they're a good investment, but they are certainly not a bad investment. Also, 80% of the TAF donation is tax deductible.

I understand the need for the Tradition Fund (which isn't a TAF Fee, btw) because it is an arms race to keep up with everyone. It's my contribution to LSU athletics to maintain that level of excellence.

This is what it really comes down to. Fans think Bertman/Alleva have just been sticking it to them. The truth is LSU isn't the most expensive or the cheapest in the top of the SEC and is pretty reasonable across the board in comparison to their competition.

It sucks but it's the nature of the business right now and probably for the foreseeable future.

My ticket price predictions for 2015:

McNeese St: Under face, probably half of face (only because it is the first game of the season)
Auburn: Face value (2:30 and hot, buyers market)
Eastern Michigan: Free
Florida Gators: Face value
Western Ky: Free
Arkansas: Face (could be over face if LSU beats Bama the week before or could be under face if LSU gets beat)
TAMU: Face (only way over face is if LSU has a chance to win the west, once again could be under face if LSU has 4 or 5 Losses)

Great post .. It is a HORRIBLE investment. People with half a brain can go to every home game this season for what you have listed above. Just go out there on game day and you will have tickets in hand a few hours before kickoff .. Is there really, honestly a huge faction of people out there that think they will have a tough time getting tickets for the McNeese State, Eastern Michigan, or Western Kentucky games on game day ?? Really ? So they panic and way way overpay for them. It is sad to say that face value is actually a monumental rip off for these three games. This is a BAD home schedule for those actually thinking they can unload their tickets for a profit .. The home schedule is incredibly back loaded and by the time those two teams get here, a lot will have happened ..

Remember the flurry of people on here paying $400 to $1000 for pairs of tickets to the aTm game in 2013 in the summer ? Then they get here .. both teams have lost games .. neither is really playing for anything .. and it rained all day ... people were buying tickets in the lower bowl between the 30s for $20 .. even less in the end zones .. and the stadium was not even 2/3 full at kickoff ..

Do you know what sort of cost it would be to get tickets to gators game this year looking at lower section.. Just so I don't over pay on stub hub and is it better to wait closer to the game date?

If you wait until game day, worst case scenario is face value. Probably 80 per.
