football season can't get here fast enough for me. It has been awhile I've felt this much energy coming from the program during the summer. From recruiting to the coaching staff, there seems to be a lot more confidence and swagger coming from the program. With the athletes LSU is going to put on the field add confidence and swagger, it will be a special season!

The way you say "swagger" I can't help but to read your post as if you were Bobby Herbert. I cringe every time a middle age white guy says that word.

Im cautiously optimistic. We have a roster full of great players, but if we cant get decent quarterback play this season (which is a strong possibility) this team will do no better than 9-3

I'm gonna need you to put a dollar in the "swagger" jar.

But I agree and think we'll surprise a few folks this year.

We also have depth issues at DE and LB, along with a new DC that is a bit of an unknown. Also, a couple of OL transitions that we don't necessarily know will be smooth although depth there is nice... just to be fair. We'll see if we can answer the questions, and we are capable, but QB isn't the only one albeit the most glaring.

LB depth for this year is fine. It's next year when the shite hits the fan. DE is a concern, but Key could provide an immediate impact and we have a capable DL coach for the first time in years.

OL will be fine if we can get past a rebuilding State team and a bad Auburn defense learning a new system.

Hang around and wait for the usual suspects to show up and tell you why you shouldn't be.

Last summer was pretty exciting due to the expectations of the 2014 class. Bringing on Steele and Orgeron has definitely brought energy and enthusiasm into the program though. I like the way our defense is heading so far.
