Kwon is huge and fast and 100% recovered.

People get mad when Welter is questioned, but he was terrifyingly awful in the Clemson game. He played one series and got plowed time after time. I don't think anyone ever expected this guy to start at Mike for us, let alone as a Junior.

Thanks. I had heard earlier in camp that he was suffering some residual soreness and limited mobility as a result of the ankle. I thought that perhaps explained why he hasn't surpassed Jones. Glad to hear he is completely healthy.

He had lost a lot of weight last year for some reason. Some rumors were floated that he had a rotavirus. Of course he was also having academic problems which could have contributed. He has good size and appears to be pretty quick to the ball. Chief wouldn't start him unless he felt he could get the job done. Expect Lamar to play quite a bit also.

Let the meltdown begin.

Holy shite the DL is thin.

DL is thin and our LBs look light as hell. No way those are the right weights, huh?

Yeah I agree. I think it ends up being Kwon, Barrow, Beckwith/Jones before too long.

Sobering wake up for all the freshman sunshine pumpers.

All our talented freshman are not able to surpass the veterans and start game one.

It's gonna be a great year. NC depends on Dural & Leslie on the deep ball.

Wow I hope Welter shows us all that we are wrong, but until then I'm worried about Mike LB

If DJW is not cutting it at MLB, yall think Chavis is going keep letting him play?

It's utterly fascinating to me that some of you think that the "Chief" doesn't know what he's doing in regards to player personnel decisions.

Blue bounced back quickly and by spring practice was ready to resume practicing. Miles said he could have participated in contact drills but was held out as a precaution.

Except for one play. Miles finally relented during a full-contact scrimmage. Blue put on a white jersey, took a handoff on a zone read play called 83, and stepped to the left. He put a killer hip fake move on linebacker D.J. Welter and was gone on a 40-yard run.

"It was like he was shot out of a cannon," Welter recalled.

Fire Chavis. He doesn't know how to coach the middle linebackers.

Reviewing the 2-deep really impacted my hopes for the year. It all starts on the lines... I'm not that worried about the D-line, talented youngsters come in and perform quickly all the time in the SEC.

but O-line... OUCH!!!

6 of 10 on the 2-deep have ZERO meaningful college snaps. that is ALL 5 backups and 1 starter. SCARY thought. 2003, 2007, 2011 all had SOLID O-lines. Again... it ALL starts up front.

I thought we have been recruiting studs on our O-line. What the hell. Seems like every year it's an issue.

No ones questioning the chiefs judgement. But as fans we are allowed to be nervous about welter. Until he proves me wrong, I have very little faith in the MLB position

All looks good. I'd just like to see Brazil on kickoff returns.

Do you find fumbles enchanting? Keep the veterans handling the ball. Ease the kids in against easy competition. Next year they'll be ready. If we absolutely need them, use them this year.
